I attended the first Asia pacific vocal camp after the European Vocal Camp of this year.
We were connected with 75 artists from 19 countries by music, singing, passion where is a little far away from beautiful city Bangkok for 5 unforgettable days.
Every day, we could have private vocal lessons, 25 workshops, open mics and final concert with amazing 12 mentors.
There was also a teacher training program for Modern vocal training certified teachers.
We studied about Teaching Fundamentals, Lesson Observations, Teaching Circle, Working with Advanced Singers for 4 days.
This opportunity helped me remember what I had forgotten for a while, and learn new perspectives from fellow teachers.
As a vocal coach, it’s inevitable to focus on technique but what truly matters is musicality.
Technique helps us sing, but musicality makes it art.
Art exists because it’s imperfect.
From this camp, what I learned is about purity, passion and communication.
I left my heart in Bangkok so I’ll be there again to bring it back 🤣
2025년 국제보컬교육협회 MVT에서 첫 번째로 아시아에서
열린 보컬캠프에 다녀왔습니다.
19개국에서 온 75명의 아티스트들, 12명의 멘토들과 함께
방콕에서 조금 떨어진 아름다운 지역의 자연을 느낄 수 있는
근사한 숙소에서 5일 동안 매일 최고의 보컬 레슨과 25개의 다양한 워크샵,
그리고 MVT 소속 선생님들을 위한 12개의 티처 트레이닝 프로그램과 공연들이 진행되었습니다.

과정을 4일간 공부했는데요, 잊고 있었던 부분들, 그리고 새로운 접근법과 관점을
동료 선생님들과 토론하며 스스로의 교습법을 다시 정리할 수 있었습니다.
보컬코치로서 테크닉도 중요하지만,
항상 스스로 뮤지션임을 잊지 않고 음악적인 성장을 이어가야
모든 클라이언트를 진짜로 도와줄 수 있다고 믿기 때문에
이번에도 발성과 노래 사이의 균형을 맞추는 데 중점을 두었고
이 경험은 앞으로의 티칭에도 분명히 큰 도움이 될 것 같습니다.
서로 다른 장르, 언어, 스타일을 가진 75명의 아티스트들과 교류하고
함께 연주하면서 느낀 점은,
매 순간 완벽할 수는 없지만, 바로 그 불완전함 속에
예술이 존재한다는 사실이었습니다.
이번 캠프를 통해 스스로 잊고 있었던 것들을 많이 되찾을 수 있었습니다.
